Boeing Co (NYSE: BA) to be Presenting Partner of Invictus Games in Düsseldorf

Date:

On Wednesday, Boeing Co (NYSE: BA) inches down in pre trading session after the company is growing its support for the Invictus Games and the injured soldiers and women who compete and inspire. The corporation will act as the Presenting Partner of Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 for the first time.

Brigadier General Alfred Marstaller, project director of the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023, stated that the Invictus Games contribute significantly to the rehabilitation of wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans. They are thrilled to be collaborating with Boeing this year to provide long-term assistance to competitors on their rehabilitation journey.

The announcement was made yesterday in Berlin during a parliamentary event at the Federal State of North-Rhine Westphalia’s Representation. The increased cooperation builds on the company’s sponsorship of Invictus Games Sydney 2018 and Invictus Games The Hague 2020, as well as a multi-year deal with the Invictus Games Foundation.

President and CEO of Boeing, Dave Calhoun stated that Boeing has an unwavering commitment to those who wear the uniform, veterans, and the families who love and support them; their enormous sacrifice is surpassed only by their devotion to country. The bravery and determination of these Invictus competitors inspires us all.  On behalf of some 20,000 veterans who proudly work at Boeing, they are honored to be the Presenting Partner for this year’s Invictus Games in Germany, where they will celebrate the remarkable achievements and indomitable spirit of all its competitors.

The Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 sponsored by Boeing will bring together family and friends of athletes to recognize their role in rehabilitation, post-injury or sickness. It will include over 500 competitors from 22 nations competing in 10 disciplines. The Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 will take place in and around the Merkur-Spiel Arena from September 9 to 16, 2023.

Invictus Games Foundation CEO Dominic Reid OBE stated that they are grateful to Boeing for its long-term support of the Invictus movement. Today’s agreement builds on Boeing’s previous sponsorships of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 and The Hague 2020, each time with stronger and deeper support. Their work supporting international wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women through sport is only made possible by partners like Boeing, which has committed to long-term support for veterans and their wider community, both at the Invictus Games and beyond.
